Better Campus Workplaces Huddle - Meeting 2
This learning community explores how higher education institutions can improve working conditions for the people who make their mission possible. Facilitated by Kevin McClure, author of The Caring University and Professor of Higher Education and Department Chair at UNC Wilmington, participants will examine organizational culture, leadership, and practices that promote employee well-being. We will share promising approaches from our own campuses, learn from peers, and contribute to a collection of resources on how to create campus workplaces where employees thrive.
This learning community is for faculty and staff in higher education institutions. CUMU members and non-members are all welcome!

Leading from the middle
- How do I advance change and lead with care from a position with limited authority or resources?
- What are strategies for “managing up” or shifting the mindsets of skeptical senior leaders?
- What does it look like when leadership empowers employees at every level to foster a caring workplace?
